 Sales Success almost always starts with Trust.

It is the fundamental basis for any relationship whether that be personal or business. 

Trust is a funny thing.

It can’t be bought – but it must be earned

            It can’t be measured

            It’s either there or it’s not

When it’s gone, it’s almost impossible to get it back.

If you don’t have it, it will make dealing with a customer almost impossible.  The war is already lost.

More emphasis needs to be placed on building trust and long-term business relationships when it comes to selling.

So what can you do to build trust with a customer or client?

1.     Being Honest – never make things up or lie to your customer or client

2.     Having integrity – stand true to yourself, your word and have strong moral principals

3.     Use empathy – put yourself in their shoes and be considerate of their circumstances

4.     Deliver what you promise – do what you say you are going to do. Every time

5.     Be authentic – being yourself is easy and it is the fast path to building trust.

Trust is underrated when it comes to sales success.    Applied knowledge is Power but Trust really is the Superpower.
